Bar Harbor Wedding Featured in Maine Magazine
Each and every one of my couples’ stories is fascinating to me- learning the story of how they meet, observing how they connect with one other, and watching (and capturing!) how their wedding day unfolds, is one of the coolest parts of my job. Perhaps it stems from my interest in how people interact with one another (I earned a minor in Psychology!) but no matter how “boring” a couple will tell me their proposal story is, for example, I am so drawn toward how the nuances of their tale. Sure, the details about their actual proposal are always compelling and romantic, but I like hearing about the other details that make the proposal more.. spicy, such as inclement weather, painful footwear, forgetting the ring and general crankiness of the person being proposed to (all details I’ve actually heard in proposal stories!). Although so many of us strive for a romantic ideal, these aspects of their proposal story makes me like them even more because the story feels less like a sweeping romantic movie and more substantial, more real.
So with all that said, I’m glad when magazines see how special my couples are and share not just the beauty of their wedding day through photos, but also through words. Jen and Andrew’s coastal Bar Harbor Maine Wedding at the Pot & Kettle Club was strikingly highlighted by Maine Magazine’s 2017 Wedding Guide, and I am thrilled that the world will now know more about Jen and Andrew’s awesomeness (as well as their slightly quirky story of how they met). If you’re currently planning a Maine wedding, make sure to pick up this issue (it’s currently on shelves!), or it can be ordered on their website. You can also read their wedding story here. Enjoy!
