Toni & Nick's Causeway Club Wedding, Southwest Harbor

Nick proposed to Toni on a chilly morning on Cadillac Mountain, so it only made sense to do their first look in the very same spot. So, on their wedding day, Toni and Nick prepared in Bar Harbor (Toni was at the Bar Harbor Inn, while Nick prepared at a private residence), and the pair finally saw each other on a beautiful fall day on the edge of Cadillac, overlooking the rest of the island. And what a view it was- while peak foliage hadn’t quite arrived to Mount Desert Island, there were delightful pops of yellow and orange that peppered the green landscape below. After taking some portraits where we were all on top of the world (especially Toni and Nick, who were so excited to see each other! ;)), we traveled around Acadia, to Jordan Pond and to Seawall, which served as a way for Toni and Nick to spend some time alone on their wedding day and to also set aside ample time to take a variety of scenic landscape portraits. Finally, we headed to their Causeway Club wedding ceremony in Southwest Harbor, which was right by the water, and we finally retreated to the Causeway Club’s beautiful whitewashed barn (it’s one of my favorite barns in the state!) for Toni and Nick’s candlelit reception. I was especially enamored by their meal, crafted by the always pitch perfect Bar Harbor Catering Company– I’m drooling, thinking about the chicken and waffles I had- and their band, Ryan Blotnick and Group, which definitely had their guests grooving. Ali Cormier, of Wedding Angel Events, also did wonderfully in keeping the wedding reception paced well and running smoothly. I wish I could relive this wedding day- it was so good!
