Bonnie and Mike’s Pemaquid Point Engagement Portraits
I’ve only been to Pemaquid Point once prior to Bonnie and Mike’s engagement session, so it was a treat to return to the lighthouse. It was the perfect location for Bonnie and Mike’s portraits because not only is it stunning (wait until you see the sunset below!), but it was only a minute away from her parents’ house in Maine (where they’ll be tying the knot!) and the Bradley Inn, where their September reception will take place. I loved having the opportunity to talk to Bonnie’s parents prior to the wedding (it doesn’t happen very often!), and can’t wait be back to their home for their wedding day.
Bonnie and Mike were such a treat to spend two hours with– they were easygoing, trusted in my sometimes wacky-sounding ideas, and I wanted to convince them to move to Maine by the end of the evening. Bonnie had her makeup trial done the day of the session, which was a smart idea- even though she’s already gorgeous, her makeup application was the icing on the cake. Actually, Mike’s easy smile, always directed at Bonnie, may have been the ultimate icing on the cake. Or maybe it was the scenic landscapes and stunning light we had that evening. Essentially, all of these factors came together beautifully and made the pair almost too easy to photograph.
Thank you, Bonnie and Mike, for the good times, the sunset, the seagulls, AND the perfectly timed ocean spray. Can’t wait for September and all the magic that’s sure to come!
Here are a few of my favorite photos. I’ll be sending the full gallery shortly!
