I met Destinee in the College Composition classes I taught a year ago– she was one of my students, and a wonderful one at that.  We avoided the cold (it had just snowed a couple of days before– a tragic event, in my opinion) by playing in a toasty greenhouse, filled with greenery and bursts of color.  It made me long for summer, but alas, I suppose I must face the oncoming winter with dignity and positive energy.  And hey, snow makes portraits pop, so that’s a good thing.
