Kayla and Shawn’s French’s Point Wedding in Stockton Springs, Maine
I had been looking forward to Kayla and Shawn’s wedding ever since I met Kayla and her mom prior to booking their wedding and then especially after their Camden Maine engagement, where we not only witnessed one of the most intense sunsets I’ve ever seen but we also hung out with a group of ducks that were acting like Kayla and Shawn’s groupies. Their wedding day, at the picturesque French’s Point, an estate in Stockton Springs, made me so happy, and its positive energy and love was summed up by how Kayla’s mom kept cheering on each person who toasted Kayla and Shawn, letting them know how much she appreciated and loved the sentiments they were sharing. How can you not fall in love with a wedding where the love for both the couple and everyone else simply can’t be contained? I also adored Kayla and her father’s first dance, both of whom were obviously overcome with emotion, and the beautiful sunset that felt like the natural end to such a picture-perfect day. And, as if it could get any better, I was thrilled when Kayla and Shawn jumped into the ocean for a few portraits at sunset. These two were the cat’s meow for so many reasons, and I’m so glad I’ve been a part of their lives for more than a year now, and I feel sad that my time with them has come to an end. At least we still have these photos to remember our time together!
It was a pleasure to work with Josh Swan of Media Northeast– I get to work with him a few times a year and he’s an amazing, collaborative videographer who produces gorgeous, thoughtful work. It’s always a good day when I see that he will be a part of the vendor team because he brings so much value to the weddings he works at!
Here are a few of my favorite photos of Kayla and Shawn’s wedding day. Enjoy!
