Bekka and Aaron’s Acadia Elopement
I received an email twenty-four hours before Bekka and Aaron’s elopement and was asked by Bekka if I would be interested in photographing their Acadia elopement. I only had office work planned for the next day, so… yes, I was happy to capture it for them! Bekka and Aaron had just sprang the news to their families (who were enjoying a joint vacation in Bar Harbor) that they would be eloping in Acadia, and so with very little time to spare they secured a dress from Blush, a bouquet and boutonniere, and, well.. me! I met Bekka and Aaron the next day and we drove around the park, starting at Cadillac Mountain, and then stopping at some of my favorite spots in Acadia National Park for wedding portraits. The day was spectacular- not only were we treated to some magical light and low-lying clouds (which were a complete surprise to me- the forecast had called for clear and sunny skies… MDI’s weather sometimes provides some interesting surprises!), but Bekka and Aaron were glowing with happiness and excitement, which made their photos all the better. Special thanks are in order for Bekka’s mom, Jen, who drove us around the park and even held a light for me for a few of these portraits.
Here are a few of my favorite photos from their Acadia elopement on Cadillac Mountain. Enjoy!
