Jaice & Greg’s Poland Maine Wedding
Most couples meet while stationary- perhaps sitting at a bar, at a get together with friends, or at a blind date of some kind, but not Jaice and Greg, who met while traveling at about 18 miles per hour. Jaice and Greg, who are both cycling enthusiasts, met each other while biking with a group of friends, and as they continued to ride, and chat, their connection grew, and before they knew it, they found themselves, on a very, very warm day (the hottest all summer!), getting married on a private lakeside residence in Poland Maine. Their friends and family surrounded them as they said their vows, enjoyed in a lobster bake, and drank lots, and lots, and lots of water.
I’m a sucker for kids at weddings and fell in love with ring bearer and flower girl, Andrew and Madelyn. Madelyn was so thoughtful as to take a polaroid of me, which she kindly signed (it now sits on my desk- perhaps I’ll share it when I post this wedding on my Instagram story!). Andrew played Old Town Road on his kazoo (which he later danced to) and got very, very excited about receiving a pack of Pokemon cards, which I could totally understand, as Pokemon is awesome. Both were such a delight to photograph as they ate s’mores, ran around, and were thoroughly themselves.
At sunset, I casually recommended that we go take some photos on the water, and before I knew it Jaice and Greg grabbed two paddleboards and headed out on the lake. YES! There’s no time like your wedding day to go out on the water, right? I was ever so happy as they enjoyed a little spin on the lake.
Here’s a few of my favorite photos from Jaice and Greg’s wedding day. Enjoy!
