Kendra & Jon’s Summer Acadia Elopement
Kendra and Jon began their relationship at the beginning of COVID. The pair met online, and their first date lasted so long that Kendra, confused, asked “why are the birds chirping at night?” and realized that they had stayed up all night, talking. Ever since then, they’ve been inseparable, even recently giving birth to Emerson. There was just one final step- finally getting married. Jon and Kendra hadn’t really had a chance to travel yet (after all, they met during COVID), so they opted for a destination elopement in Acadia National Park, thus killing two birds with one stone.
Kendra got dressed in the woods, and then walked down a set of stairs to a beautiful, rocky beach, where Jon was waiting. The two had an absolutely exuberant first look as the sun spilled over the trees during golden hour, and I could have captured their love for hours. I even convinced them to climb up a cliff, where we had a stunning view of the beach and the bordering pine trees.
Once the sun disappeared, we met with Adam Babbitt of MDI Weddings at Jordan Pond, where Jon and Kendra shared personalized vows in front of the Bubbles. We spent a little more time exploring the area, avoiding tourists, and enjoying the sunset.
Here’s a few of my favorite photos from Kendra and Jon’s Acadia elopement. Enjoy!
