The experience

Wedding photos that’ll make your heart skip a few beats.

Your wedding photos should be more than just a set of pretty pics. Excellent wedding photos act as time machines that zap you back into the past, not only reminding you of what happened on your wedding day, but also how you felt during these fleeting and significant moments. I’m here to help you preserve these heart-stopping moments via artistic, documentary wedding photography that will stop you in your tracks and show you how awesome your love is.

I’m drawn toward

intimate moments, big emotion, and joy

I especially love moments that feel out of the ordinary and special- from tender handholds, to intimate, emotional moments, to quirky, out of the box playfulness, my goal is to tell your wedding story in a way that is very personal and impactful.

I call myself a WEDDING PHOTOJOURNALIST AND/or a CREATIVE DOCUMENTARY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER.

Kind Words

“Kate was my fairy godmother.

When I first found Kate’s pictures on Instagram, I knew she was someone special. Her talent is unparalleled and she takes SUCH gorgeous photos. We met for the first time on my wedding day and instantly it felt like I’d known her for YEARS. She knew exactly when and where to take the perfect picture. I am the type of person who usually HATES getting my picture taken but she made the experience an absolute joy.”

Booking is easy.

We’ll schedule a consulation

Next, we’ll schedule a call, where I’ll learn more about what makes the two of you awesome and what your wedding plans looks like. I’ll also share more about how I photograph a wedding and we’ll get to know one another.

You’ll book your wedding

You enjoyed our phone call as much as I did? Sweet! The final step will be to sign the contract and pay the booking fee. Once you’ve completed those steps, you’ll be on my calendar (and I’ll be counting down the days to your wedding)!

Got questions?

I have answers.

The hands of a wedding couple cutting their cake.

I am a creative documentary wedding photographer. I candidly photograph weddings, although I will give posing direction during couples and group portraits. I provide a mix of color and black and white photos—these color treatments are determined based on what I believe looks and works best for each image.

I am located in Bangor, Maine. And yeah, I do! Although many of my weddings are in midcoast and southern Maine, I do book weddings elsewhere and I’d love to travel to wherever you would like to take me.

Sure do! My top tier collections include a second photographer, who will typically help capture getting ready, alternate angles of the ceremony and the reception, the reception details, cocktail hour (when time allows) and they will assist me when needed.

In order to ensure that your photos are carefully chosen and edited beautifully, expect your photos to be ready in eight to ten weeks. Of course, I’ll send along a few sneak peek photos within 48 hours of your wedding to tide you over. It’s worth the wait!

The number of photos that you will receive will depend on the length of your coverage, the number of guests, and the general nature of your wedding. My goal is not to provide a specific number of photos, but rather to capture the spirit and story of your wedding day. You can usually expect to see 50-70 photos per hour in your gallery.

Well.. I’d rather capture one-of-a-kind photos that others will want to copy for their own wedding! Isn’t that more fun?

I’d rather work from a few simple requests- perhaps you really want a rowboat photo at sunset, or a dramatic veil portrait. That’s something I can do! Couples very rarely provide me with inspiration photos.

YES!! I serve all couples. Love is love!

I use professional grade Canon camera bodies that have dual SD card slots and a variety of lenses. I bring at least 3-4 camera bodies to each wedding, lots of extra memory cards, and have backups of my most-used lenses. Some might call me overprepared. :)

Wedding coverage starts at $6,200. On average, couples spend between $8,300 and $10,500 on their photography collection. For more detailed pricing, please fill out my contact form!
