Abbie & Cole’s Sand Beach Acadia Elopement
As Abbie and Cole got ready for their Acadia elopement, it began to pour. While the forecast had looked dicey in the days leading up to their elopement, it had improved. Regardless, here we were, looking outside, the rain pitter pattering in a not exactly comforting way. What did we do? Abbie and Cole got ready at the Bar Harbor Inn, so we used the awning outside as a first look location, and then decided to drive into Acadia, with the hopes that the rain would stop, or ease up, for the rest of our time together. And, lo and behold, once we arrived to Sand Beach the rain softened, making it possible for us to continue on with portraits. Stormy weather often results in stunning landscapes, and Sand Beach was showing off in all its glory, what with the dramatic clouds, fog, and turbulent waves, and blessed Abbie with a dusting of sand on her train.
After portraits, we met the rest of their loved ones at the cliffs, where the rain had essentially stopped, and the elopement continued peacefully.
Here are a few of my favorite photos from Abbie and Cole’s elopement. Enjoy!
