Elise & Brian’s Beal’s Lobster Pier Wedding

Elise and Brian wanted a simple, intimate wedding. They wanted to bring their loved ones to a location they loved- Acadia National Park, they wanted them to all stay at one property (they opted for the Jarvis Homestead in Ellsworth), and they wanted really awesome photography, so I was honored when they picked me to document their wedding day! We spent a lot of time prewedding creating a game plan for their portraits and ceremony, carefully selecting locations that would showcase the awesomeness of Acadia. They opted to start their day by hiking up a mountain for some epic portraits overlooking Acadia, and then transition to an oceanside ceremony.

The forecast looked worrisome leading up to their wedding day, but as I always say, weird forecasts tend to result in the best skies and light. And, as you’ll see, we avoided the rain and were gifted the beauty you’ll see below. I kept telling Elise and Brian that we were receiving the exact right light that was needed for each location, which was such a treat.

After the ceremony, we headed over to Beal’s Lobster Pier, located in Southwest Harbor. Everyone feasted on lobster, and so many of Elise and Brian’s loved ones gave emotional, loving toasts. Tears were shed, laughs were plentiful, and the energy was incredible. We were supposed to hike a second mountain at sunset, but I recommended, due to the heavy overcast skies, that we skip it in favor of spending more time with their loved ones, which felt like the right choice.

Here are a few of my favorite photos from Elise and Brian’s wedding. Enjoy!
