York Beach Engagement Portraits | Annie & Steve

Depending on how you want to slice it, it was either by fate or random chance that Annie and Steve found one another.  Annie had planned to return to her home country of Indonesia, but she decided to stick around for a bit longer because of a tempting offer from a local company.  Steve went to school in Chicago, but was recruited by the same company and decided to try Boston life.  Their paths crossed when they were assigned to the same project, where they both noticed each other and decided, despite being coworkers, that they should date.  And despite the inherent risk, their relationship flourished.  Annie and Steve still work at the same company, where Annie gets to sometimes “crack the whip at the engineers,” which includes her fiancé — that’s what I call love!

I met Steve and Arianne at Nubble Light and York Beach in York, Maine, where we enjoyed a bright, sunny day.  Annie has this sort of effervescent joy about her that’s simply intoxicating– I don’t think she ever stopped smiling.  And it’s clear that her glee brings out the best in Steve, judging by the way he would look at her and how happy he looked with Annie in his arms.  I am so excited to photograph their May wedding at Point Lookout— it’s going to be a good time!
