Lakeside Maine Engagement Photography | Brie & Jason

I’ve known Jason for a few years through the English department, and didn’t have the pleasure of meeting his girlfriend, Brie, until much later, as she was studying in Spain.  But I certainly knew how much Jason cared about her, and when I found out that they were engaged, I was so excited that the two of them were making their relationship official.  But, imagine how much my excitement grew when I found out that the pair of them were considering me to be their wedding photographer!  I finally met Brie at Nocturnem (a favorite bar of mine in Bangor!) and knew, through her playful attitude and the way she made Jason smile and laugh, that they were so good for one another.  And, I remember thinking during my meeting with these two how lucky I am to work with such amazing couples who I want to be friends with!

Brie and Jason’s session took place at Brie’s family camp on Green Lake in Ellsworth, Maine.  It was one of those peaceful summer days– beautiful big sky, rippling blue lake… it was rather refreshing, just like Brie and Jason.  We played around, and not only were ducks involved (yes, ducks!!) but we went out in the canoe, stepped into the lake, and watched the sun set on a pretty awesome day.  It was, without a doubt, an unforgettable session, and I’m really looking forward to their 2014 wedding at the 1774 Inn!  A special shout out is in order for Kim, Brie’s mom, who was a hospitable host and provided wine and cookies– can’t wait to also see her at the wedding!
