Kind Words

“The pure emotion and details she captures are unmatched.

We could not recommend Kate enough. We live out of state, so it was difficult to pick locations, but Kate made stellar recommendations. She created detailed time lines and was available to answer all of our questions. On the day of she was timely, professional, attentive, fun and made us feel so comfortable the entire time. She photographed our wedding even more beautifully than we could have ever imagined. We will cherish these photos and memories for the rest of our lives. Thank you, Kate!”

Where will you elope in Acadia?

Acadia National Park has so many stunning scenic backdrops to choose from. Will you have your ceremony at Otter Point, where you’ll be able to see and hear the waves crash into the rugged shoreline while the sun sets? Will you take portraits in front of iconic Jordan Pond and afterwards stop by Cadillac Mountain to share your vows at sunset and toast to your new marriage? How will you even choose? Don’t worry, I’ll help with expert suggestions, and you can also check out popular locations in the Where to Elope in Acadia guide!

Got questions?

I have answers.

There’s no one official definition, but I define elopements as intimate celebrations (0 to 20 guests) that cater toward you and your partner having the day that you want. Is your celebration going to be larger than 20 guests? I recommend stopping by my wedding info page!

I provide my elopement couples with assistance with creating a photo timeline, vendor and location recommendations, and share general advice when needed. I’m here to make the process feel easier as an area expert.

I am located in Bangor, Maine. It’s only an hour away from Acadia, and MDI is included in my travel zone.

I am a creative documentary elopement photographer. I candidly photograph elopements and weddings, although I will give posing direction during couples and group portraits. I provide a mix of color and black and white photos—these color treatments are determined based on what I believe looks and works best for each image.

Well.. I’d rather capture one-of-a-kind photos that others will want to copy for their own wedding! Isn’t that more fun?

I’d rather work from a few simple requests- perhaps you really want a rowboat photo at sunset, or a dramatic veil portrait. That’s something I can do! Couples very rarely provide me with inspiration photos.

In order to ensure that your photos are carefully chosen and edited beautifully, expect your photos to be ready in eight to ten weeks. Of course, I’ll send along a few sneak peek photos within 48 hours of your elopement to tide you over. It’s worth the wait!

The number of photos that you will receive will depend on the length of your coverage, the number of guests, and the general nature of your elopement. My goal is not to provide a specific number of photos, but rather to capture the spirit and story of your wedding day. You can usually expect to see 40-50 photos per hour in your gallery.

Not at all. There’s many locations in Acadia that are right next to a parking lot, and some that can be accessed via an easy walk. I’ll help craft an experience that works for you.

YES!! I serve all couples. Love is love!

I use professional grade Canon camera bodies that have dual SD card slots and a variety of lenses. I bring at least 3-4 camera bodies to each elopement, lots of extra memory cards, and have backups of my most-used lenses. Some might call me overprepared. :)

Booking is easy.

We’ll schedule a consulation

Next, we’ll schedule a call, where I’ll learn more about what makes the two of you awesome and what your ideal elopement looks like. I’ll also share more about how I photograph an elopement.

You’ll book your Elopement

You enjoyed our phone call as much as I did? Sweet! The final step will be to sign the contract and pay the booking fee. Once you’ve completed those steps, you’ll be on my calendar (and I’ll be counting down the days to your awesome elopement)!
