Sarah and Tom’s private residence Blue Hill wedding was my final wedding of the year, and it certainly felt the cherry on top of a fantastic, unforgettable year of weddings. I photographed both their rehearsal and wedding day, and when I spotted a glimpse of their rehearsal setup when I arrived to their property- a long table on a dock, laden with sunflowers, lanterns, and everything needed for a lobster bake- I knew I was in for a fantastic weekend. As friends and family feasted and shared what they loved about Sarah and Tom we were all treated to a sunset that slowly transitioned to twilight. It was, in short, magical.

While Tom started his wedding day off with a round of golf, Sarah began to get ready at the house, surrounded by friends, family, and a lot of kids which kept things interesting (I love when kids are at weddings- you never know what they’ll do!). The ceremony took place on the same dock where the rehearsal had occurred, and the beautiful view of their nuptials was unparalleled. Perhaps my very favorite part of the day was the reception, in which Sarah and Tom’s family and friends showed me what a good dance floor looks like as they danced for hours to The Allnighters.

Rachel of R.L. Sisson Events is a favorite planner of mine, and Sarah and Tom’s wedding wouldn’t have been what it was without her magic and her ability to handle anything that was thrown upon her plate. Working any wedding with her means that it’s bound to be fantastic.
