Remember when I raved about Thursday’s high 40s weather?  Well, that excitement seemed lame when Friday turned out to be in the low 60s.

60 degree weather in Maine during March is hot.  It’s unexpected.  And when you have those kinds of days after the wretched winter we had, well, people kind of freak out.

As I drove to our local university to meet up with Brian, I saw tons of college students running outside.  As I pulled into the university entrance, students were everywhere, clearly just trying to soak the memory of that sun into their skin so that the low 40s temperatures we were expecting on Saturday wouldn’t feel quite as depressing.  Everyone seemed to be looking up at the bright blue sky and that warm sun that had been desperately missed.  I didn’t blame them.  I probably looked the same.  Nothing was going to get me down on Friday.

It was a good day.
