Bethany & Hebert’s Engagement Portraits in Acadia National Park
Although I travel all over the state to photograph weddings and engagement sessions, I find myself photographing in Acadia National Park more than any other location. It’s hard to beat- there’s not many other places of Maine where you can so easily and quickly travel to find sandy beaches, rocky cliffs, mountains, woods, ponds, gardens, and more. Bethany and Hebert really wanted to celebrate the beauty of Maine’s landscape, especially since their wedding will be taking place in Texas, and so it made sense to do so by utilizing the prettiest locations on Mount Desert Island. We wandered all over the island, finding not only beautiful foliage and vibrant blueberry fields (I love how Jordan Pond’s fields turn so vibrantly red in autumn- it’s striking!), but also dramatic skies (we didn’t plan on stopping at Seal Harbor beach, but it was too pretty not to explore a bit). We also spent some time on the Jessup Path, which always delivers on beautiful foliage and woodsy vibes.
Here are a few of my favorites from my time with Bethany and Hebert. Thanks for letting me photograph your love- it was so much fun!
