My Favorite Maine Wedding and Elopement Photos of 2023

It’s time for my favorite blog post of the year! At the end every wedding season, I go back through each and every wedding, elopement, and engagement session and pull my favorite photos from each one. It was so much fun to relive each wedding and remember what made each one so unique and memorable.

2023 was the season of rain, and lots of it. Before 2023, I’d only ever had one wedding completely rained out, but from June through July, every wedding featured rain. And while I’m sure the rain was a disappointment to many of my couples, I was so happy to see how they persevered despite the onslaught of rain. If it’s true that rain brings good luck on wedding days, many of my couples were very much blessed with good fortune and a few rainbows. Luckily, my season was relatively dry from August onwards, with a random sprinkle here and there to keep things interesting.

I’ll never forget how wild Colleen and Jared’s dance floor was (especially when Jared took off his shirt, to much cheer and applause), the way golden light poured into Jenna and Andy’s chapel ceremony, the outrageous sunsets during Jenna and Jordan and Lindsay & Ian’s elopements, the stunning toasts at Diana and Kiril’s wedding, and the way my heart skipped a beat when Travis and Greg hopped in a canoe at sunset, and how Chief stole the show at Sadie and Nick’s wedding during his very important role as ring bearer.

There’s so much more, but this blog post would drag on forever if I included everything. You’ll simply have to remember these weddings through the photos below, or you can click the links below to revisit individual weddings and elopements.

And, of course, a very special thanks is needed to Kelsey Kobik, my rad second photographer who sees the world in such a beautiful way and I couldn’t have made many of these photos without her help. Some of the photos below are hers and I’m lucky she was by my side through all the rain and rainbows.

2023, you were pretty great. Now, onto 2024- can it just be a little bit dryer, please? PLEASE??
