Brittany & Mike’s Islesford Maine Wedding

Brittany had hoped for a foggy wedding, and while there’s no way to ever reliably predict the weather (especially for island weddings!), the weather delivered in spades, providing the perfect moody backdrop for their Islesford Maine wedding.

We met up with Mike and Brittany in Acadia, where they shared a first look in the woods (and included their pup, Rowan in their first look!), and then headed to the cliffs for more dramatic couples portraits. Then, we boarded the Vera Lee, provided by the awesome Acadia Charter Company, and since the boat for the rest of their loved ones had left a little late, we took our time, slowly cruising to Little Cranberry Island while the horizon, at times, was impossible to see. Once we made it, the two walked immediately into their ceremony on the lawn of Islesford Dock Restaurant, and what a view the fog provided- it was quintessential Maine, with boats bobbing on gentle waves.

Guests drank in the view as they enjoyed oysters and appetizers, then eventually retreated inside for the rest of the reception. We went outside for a few final portraits, and as we retreated indoors, it began to rain- perfect timing! The rest of the evening was spent dancing inside the cozy space, while the rain poured down.

Here are a few of my favorite photos from Brittany and Mike’s wedding. Enjoy!
