Tierra and Andrew’s Jordan Pond Sunrise Acadia Elopement
On a brisk morning in May, I met Andrew in the parking lot of Jordan Pond, and we were (somehow, magically) the only ones there! (Pro tip- if you really want your elopement or wedding portraits to take place at Jordan Pond, and your wedding/elopement date is somewhere between June and October, you should consider doing them at or near sunrise, otherwise there’s likely to be lots of Acadia park guests watching your nuptials!) After he pinned his bout and fastened his cuff links, we walked to a quiet lakeside spot that provided a lovely view of Jordan Pond, and after a few minutes of watching the sky grow lighter and brighter, we were joined by Tierra, who Andrew was seeing fully dressed up for the first time. With Jordan Pond as a backdrop, Tierra and Andrew said their vows, exchanged rings, and their ceremony came to a close with jumping the broom. From there, we wandered Jordan Pond after the ceremony, taking portraits here and there until it was time for Tierra and Andrew to warm up and take a nap.
Tierra and Andrew met in middle school, but eventually reconnected in 2016 via email. The pair started a long distance relationship- Andrew in Vermont, Tierra in New York City, and both would take turns making the five hour drive. Now, they’re happily in Vermont together.
Here’s a few of my favorite photos from Tierra and Andrew’s sunrise elopement. Enjoy!
