Katie and Brandon’s Acadia National Park Elopement
It may have misted a little during Katie and Brandon’s Acadia National Park elopement, but it didn’t dampen the spirits of anyone present. As Katie and Brandon’s families huddled under colorful umbrellas (including one that featured a unicorn- my favorite!), Katie and Brandon shared vows on a cliff overlooking Sand Beach, as fog hung heavy all around us. Shortly after their ceremony, the rain quieted, and we continued on with portraits, stopping at Otter Point and even donning hiking boots to trek up South Bubble to find the incredible view shown in the first photo (and yes, you’ll see that Katie wore her dress while hiking- it was awesome!). Sure, Katie and Brandon’s rainy ceremony may have seemed like a disappointment at first, but I suspect we wouldn’t have found such a dramatic landscape as what we found on South Bubble had we not had the fog and rain- often, I’ve found, inclement weather leads to incredible, unique photos. And the umbrellas added such personality to their wedding ceremony!
Thanks for adventuring with me, Katie and Brandon. Here are a few of my favorite photos from your Acadia elopement!
