Bangor Maine Pet Photographer | Lil’ Tony
I regularly tell people that I will not (or at the very least I’m very hesitant) about having children in the future. While I like playing with other people’s children, I thoroughly enjoy giving them back to their parents after a couple of hours. Everyone tells me that the hormones will kick in eventually and that it’ll change, but I don’t know– I’m pretty stubborn.
But, let me tell you– while I may not want a child, I’ve wanted, nay, YEARNED for a puppy of my own. My ovaries have ached for a little furry white dog to prance about with. I want to train it to roll over and bark on command and be cute on command. No, I want it to ALWAYS be cute, no command required! Oh, and I’m going to totally dress him/her up in cute little doggie outfits. It’s going to happen.
If you couldn’t tell by the capital letters, I’m really passionate about dogs. For fun, Tony and I will google pictures of cute dogs and ooh and aah over them. But then, when I started a new part time job at the University of Maine, I discovered on my first day that there is a resident puppy who comes to work every day. He is SMALL, WHITE, FLUFFY, and has THE BEST PERSONALITY EVER! When he visited me the first day, I felt like I should be paying UMaine for letting me have such close access to such a cute dog who, get this, is named Tony, just like my husband!
I had the honor of dogsitting lil’ Tony last weekend. I had dreamed of letting him run all over my parent’s expansive field, but it was raining and gloomy, so I had to resort to running around with him in the house. And, of course, I had to document his cuteness. It was necessary.
I think it’s pretty much a given that I’ll be getting a Havanese just like Tony sooner or later!
