Miles & Kate's Project Social Kitchen Wedding

Kate and Miles yearned for an intimate wedding that reflected who they are, and so they invited their closest loved ones to one of their favorite places, Bar Harbor. In fact, these two actually moved to MDI during the planning process, making the planning all the easier. :)

Kate and Miles got ready together at the Balance Rock Inn. There was no official first look, and there didn’t need to be, but the simple act of spending the morning together and helping each other get dressed was a really lovely way to begin photo coverage. After a few couples portraits down by Bar Harbor’s shore path, Kate drove Miles and I to her wedding ceremony, which took place at Gather, an event space relatively new to Bar Harbor. There, the fabulous Anna Brooke presided over the ceremony, creating a warm, loving space for Kate and Miles to make their union official.

For awhile, Kate and Miles weren’t entirely certain what they wanted to do post ceremony- perhaps get some ice cream, or visit Sand Beach? As we got closer to their wedding date, they decided to go on a quick boat ride around Frenchman Bay, and so after their ceremony, we hopped upon the Lady A and save for a couple of quick portraits, Kate and Miles enjoyed some champagne and soaked up the view.

Finally, we met the rest of the guests at Project Social Kitchen, a delicious restaurant with a beautiful outside patio, perfect for intimate al fresco weddings! Guests strolled around and enjoyed the spread of appetizers, and as twilight descended (and the heat lamps turned on, which felt heavenly), guests enjoyed a fantastic dinner while loved ones toasted Kate and Miles.
