Brandi & Austin’s Stormy Acadia Elopement
Brandi, Austin, and their families traveled all the way from Pennsylvania to Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island for Brandi and Austin’s Acadia elopement. It’s always hard to predict what sort of weather you might expect in Acadia National Park at any time of the year, and while the temperature was relatively mild for their October elopement, the waves were whipped into a frenzy on the evening of their elopement, creating rolling waves and swells that crashed upon the cliffs ever so dramatically. After Brandi and Austin’s ceremony, and portraits with their families and their ADORABLE two pups, I had so much fun finding ways to incorporate the waves into their couples portraits! While so many of my couples feel anxious about forecasts that aren’t warm and sunny, it’s often the unusual forecasts that result in epic, one of a kind photos. After all, you need a little bit of rain to experience rainbows (check out this rainbow Acadia elopement for proof)!
By the way, I love it when couples bring their pups to their elopement! I always recommend that you bring a trusted friend or family member to mind your pups while we capture portraits without them, but they’re always welcome to the elopements and weddings that I photograph.
Here’s a few of my favorites from Brandi and Austin’s elopement. Enjoy!
