Newport Maine Family Photographer | The Harris Family

One of the things I cherish most about being a photographer is the unique places that it takes me.  In the past six months I have traveled all over the state and explored pretty vistas; coastal towns, beaches,  greenhouses, fields, cities, and forests.  But last weekend marked what I believe will be one of the most unique locations I have shot at.

A goat farm.

Believe me, I was pretty excited.  I love goat cheese, and call it Nature’s frosting.  And Kaili, the goat expert at the farm, just happens to be my cousin.  Watching children run around with goats, horses, and other animals promised to be awesome.

And it was.  More than 100 goats paraded around in the background and eagerly accepted the hay given to them by the children, and the kids ran around in the seasonally warm weather, and everyone enjoyed an early Thanksgiving.  I also discovered how cute goats can be, despite those dangerous looking horns.

Thank you, Leslie, for inviting me out to your farm!  Here are some of my favorite photos from the session!
