The Maine Lakeside Elopement of Darra and Dave

Darra and Dave had been planning a larger wedding, but on a whim the pair decided to elope amongst Darra’s family at a family camp in Dedham Maine.  There was no time to do any significant planning, but it didn’t matter-the love shared between the two of them and Darra’s family made their nuptials special and heartwarming.  You don’t need to spend tons of time planning an elopement- all you technically need in Maine is an officiant, witnesses, and a marriage license (you can learn more here about what you need for a Maine elopement)! Their dog, Buddy, wandered during the ceremony and joined them for a few portraits, and I definitely made sure I got my share of cuddles from him before leaving- he’s such a lover and looked so dapper in his tux that I may have threatened to dognap him.
