Charlotte and David's Hidden Pond Wedding in Kennebunkport, Maine

I so looked forward to Charlotte and David’s Hidden Pond wedding in Kennebunkport Maine after their engagement session– they had been so willing to play around with me that I knew their wedding would be a delight to photograph. And it turned out to be fantastic, as predicted! There may have been intermittent rain right before the ceremony, but the rain cleared before the ceremony began and, as I like to think, added extra luck to their marriage. One of my favorite parts of the ceremony, which was officiated beautifully by Heather Rose, were the five flower girls and ring bearers. Four of the kids were 1 1/2 year old quadruplets (yes, quadruplets!) and I thoroughly enjoyed it as they all went their own way, on their own time (it took a little while :) ), down the aisle. It’s always fun when a ceremony is somewhat unpredictable, and kids easily add that element of surprise!

Charlotte and David’s reception space was absolutely stunning, dripping in elegant florals, candlesticks, and a beautiful hanging floral installation (you’ll see it in a few of the photos below). Minka Flowers did such an excellent job transforming their already elegant barn into a decadent, low-lit space, perfect for celebrating a romantic wedding.

After dances were danced, toasts shared, and their meal savored, everyone joined the dance floor, headed by Jeff Erwin. Guests drank and danced for hours, and eventually ended the night by participating in a sparkler exit in which Charlotte and David ran right through :).
