Alexis & Mike’s Acadia Boat Elopement

If you were eloping, and could do whatever you wanted on your elopement day, what would you choose to do? Alexis and Mike, who eloped in Acadia and Southwest Harbor, spent time reflecting on what their ideal wedding day would look like, and came with a few conclusions. First, they knew they enjoy spending time on the water when they travel, hiking, and also enjoy lighthouses. So, they opted to charter a boat (from Acadia Charter Company) for a few hours, and stationed the boat in front of Bear Island lighthouse so they could have a private ceremony on the water. It was such a lovely moment, the boat rocking gently, Lauren Crowley, their officiant, leading them through their vows, ring exchange, and first kiss, and a nearby sailboat even fired their cannon in celebration!

After we spent time cruising around MDI’s coastline, we returned back to the Claremont Hotel, where we took some more portraits, and then we hiked a nearby mountain so Alexis and Mike could share a first dance and cut their cake while enjoying a beautiful sunset view of Acadia. What a day!

Here are a few of my favorite photos from Alexis & Mike’s elopement. Enjoy!
