Sadie and Jared’s Wedding at the Contented Sole in New Harbor, Maine
Sadie and Jared’s wedding had a 90% chance of rain, but with our powers combined, the rain held off completely during the ceremony, portraits, and cocktail hour- success! Although it rained during the reception, it stopped ever so briefly during sunset, just in time for us to capture some truly magical portraits at The Contented Sole. Thanks, unpredictable Maine weather!
Sadie and Jared prepared for their wedding at The Bradley Inn, in New Harbor, Maine, then traveled to the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse (one of my favorite lighthouses in Maine!) for their ceremony. After we wandered around the rocky shoreline, we joined the rest of the wedding party and traveled over to The Contented Sole, where lobster and beautiful pink cocktails awaited guests. There were fun entrances, hilarious toasts (that included large, embarrassing photos of Jared throughout childhood), sweet first dances, and then the dance floor came alive as friends and family tried to outdo one another. One of my favorite parts of their wedding may have been their wide variety of desserts- I spotted tiny root beer floats, macaroons, cupcakes, and lobster-shaped cookies. So much fun!
Here are a few of my favorite photos from Sadie and Jared’s wedding day. Enjoy!
