My Favorite 2019 Maine Wedding Photos
What can I say about 2019? It was a year of unpredictable weather (windy one day, scorchingly hot the next, snowy and cold, lots of rain, and there was even a surprise hailstorm for a meterologist groom. The irony!), and beautiful locations, but what ultimately made it fantastic were the people in front of my camera. I was so lucky that my couples, their friends, and their families opened up their lives and hearts to me- by being so vulnerable, they allowed me to capture moments that oozed love and felt like sunshine. Perhaps the cherry on the top was how adventurous my couples were – they kayaked, paddleboarded, waded into the ocean, got splashed while riding a dinghy to a sailboat, climbed rocks and cliffs while wearing dresses and suits, and danced in the rain. It’s true, all of those things happened! I have to say, I’m fond of couples who dare to do something a bit wild on their wedding day- it makes the day all the more satisfying, and I’m always game for my couples’ wildest desires. Just try me!
This is never easy to compile, but here are my favorite photos I made in 2019. It required I make a lot of painful cuts, but nevertheless, here’s a set of 90 some-odd Maine wedding photos that make my heart pitter patter when I look at them. There are hugs, tears, laughter, slightly dangerous dance moves, sunsets, wine spilling on a bridal jumpsuit, kids throwing pizza hats… and more, all taking place in Bar Harbor, Acadia, Camden, Blue Hill, and lots of other small midcoast Maine and western Maine locations. As always, enjoy- I can’t wait to begin creating wedding photos in 2020! There’s more epic weddings to come.. :)
And last, but not least, a special thanks to Ashley, the best second photographer a gal could have. While her photos aren’t featured in this specific post, she helped make many of these happen, so she deserves some love. Thanks for helping make the magic happen!
